Austin Dillon, Richard Childress Racing

Phoenix Racing announced Friday, Jan. 11, that driver Austin Dillon will drive a Sprint Cup car at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this year. Dillon will be driving the No. 51 car sponsored by TAG Heuer Eyewear March 10. Dillon is also running a full Nationwide Series schedule and around six Cup races for Richard Childress Racing.

Richard Childress Racing announced Friday, Nov. 9, that driver Austin Dillon will drive the No. 33 car in next year's Daytona 500 with sponsorship from Cheerios.

Richard Childress Racing driver Austin Dillon won the Nationwide Series race at Kentucky Speedway Saturday, Sept. 22. Dillon started on the pole and won both of the Nationwide races at Kentucky this season.

Richard Childress Racing driver Austin Dillon was docked six points in the Nationwide Series standings after his car failed a post-race inspection following his victory at Kentucky last weekend. The penalty drops him out of the points lead. Crew chief Danny Stockman Jr. was fined $10,000 and car owner Morgan Shepherd was docked six points as well.

Richard Childress Racing driver Austin Dillon won the Nationwide Series race at Kentucky Speedway Friday, June 29. He led 192 of the 200 laps. However, the No. 3 car failed a post-race inspection for being too low in the rear. A ruling will be issued this week.

Richard Childress Racing owner Richard Childress said the team is resigned to shrinking to a three-car team in the Sprint Cup Series next season after losing driver Clint Bowyer to Michael Waltrip Racing. Driver Austin Dillon, the grandson of Childress, will occasionally fill in in a fourth car.

SceneDaily.com reports Richard Childress Racing driver Austin Dillon will make his NASCAR Nationwide Series debut Friday, Sept. 5, in the Emerson Radio 250 at Richmond International Raceway. Dillon is entered in the No. 21 car.
