Obviously, it's painful. But it's right now more of a functional thing, too. It's tough to make a fist, so I can't really get that finger moving the way I need to do to grip a bat."

The fracture is at the middle joint of his right pinkie, and he'll be fitted for a splint Wednesday, April 11. 2B Daniel Murphy would likely move to third base in a prolonged absence of Wright. INF Jordany Valdespin or Justin Turner could see time at second base as a result. SS Ronny Cedeno will fill in at third base if the injury turns out to be short term.
