Dodgers | Justin Turner gets a day off Sunday

Sun, 22 May 2016 12:40:41 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers 3B Justin Turner and C Yasmani Grandal are absent from the lineup on Sunday, May 22, against San Diego Padres SP Colin Rea. INF Howie Kendrick will replace Turner in the field at third and bat third, while C A.J. Ellis gets the nod behind the plate and will hit eighth.

Fantasy Tip: Turner (.227) and Grandal (.196) are getting rest days, as neither player is exactly tearing it up at the plate. Expect both to be back in the lineup Monday against the Cincinnati Reds. Kendrick might be worth considering in DFS given his spot in the order, but he and Ellis are probably not worth starting in most formats today.

Dodgers | Adrian Gonzalez returns

Sat, 21 May 2016 15:53:21 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers 1B Adrian Gonzalez (back) returned to the lineup Saturday, May 21. He's hitting cleanup, and 3B Justin Turner returned to the three-hole. 2B Howie Kendrick is sitting out.

Fantasy Tip: A-Gone has a ridiculous .384-2-15 line on the road considering he has 20 RBI on the year. He hasn't been great at Petco Park, but not many hitters are. He's a solid start against Cesar Vargas. Turner is hitting just .217 this month and has struggled much of the season. He has upside in the three-hole, but he's a risky lower-middle option.

Dodgers | Howie Kendrick in, Justin Turner out

Mon, 16 May 2016 15:30:07 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers 3B Justin Turner (rest) is not in the starting lineup Monday, May 16. 2B Howie Kendrick is starting in his place at third base and batting third against Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim SP Matt Shoemaker.

Fantasy Tip: Coming off offseason knee surgery, the 31-year-old Turner requires days off here and there. Kendrick would be a risky option in daily leagues tonight despite his favorable positioning in the lineup opposite a downtrodden pitcher like Shoemaker. After all, he's hitting just .202 with one extra-base hit in 94 at-bats.

Dodgers | Justin Turner takes a seat

Wed, 11 May 2016 15:42:26 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers 3B Justin Turner is not in the starting lineup Wednesday, May 11. 2B Howie Kendrick is taking over at third base and batting third against New York Mets SP Noah Syndergaard.

Fantasy Tip: The lineup spot is a cushy one, but you can't trust Kendrick in any fantasy format right now. After all, he's slashing just .198/.235/.210 with no home runs and just three RBI in sporadic playing time. Facing Thor's hammer is no easy task, either.

Dodgers | Justin Turner with a day off

Thu, 28 Apr 2016 14:59:52 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers 3B Justin Turner is not in the starting lineup Thursday, April 28. 2B Howie Kendrick is starting at the hot corner and is hitting seventh against Miami Marlins SP Jose Fernandez.

Fantasy Tip: Kendrick is a daily pick tonight that you'll want to avoid. He's facing one of the more electric arms in the big leagues, and Kendrick comes into the game with a meager slash line of .143/.160/.143 with no homers or RBI in 49 at-bats.

Dodgers | Justin Turner back, batting cleanup

Mon, 25 Apr 2016 16:11:01 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers 3B Justin Turner (toe) is back in the lineup at third base and batting cleanup Monday, April 25, versus Miami Marlins SP Wei-Yin Chen.

Fantasy Tip: Turner missed a couple of games over the weekend at Coors Field, but it appears he's now over his toe ailment. With the Dodgers sitting some of their regulars this evening, Turner will have extra responsibilities to shoulder, and thus could be a fine low-price option in daily fantasy games. He's still yet to launch his first home run of the year, however, after registering a career-high 16 long balls last season.

Dodgers | Justin Turner expected back Monday

Sun, 24 Apr 2016 18:11:46 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers 3B Justin Turner (toe) is likely to return to the lineup Monday, April 25, against the Miami Marlins, according to manager Dave Roberts.

Fantasy Tip: Injuries always seem to derail Turner, and until he is back and producing, he can be left on your bench.

Dodgers | Justin Turner out of the lineup

Sun, 24 Apr 2016 12:31:49 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers 3B Justin Turner was not in the starting lineup against Colorado Rockies SP Jordan Lyles Sunday, April 24. 2B Howie Kendrick will start at third base, while OF Trayce Thompson will start in left field and is batting eighth in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Thompson has recorded only one hit in his last seven games, so owners should be able to find better options to use for their starting lineups.

Dodgers | Two Dodgers sitting out

Sat, 23 Apr 2016 14:07:55 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers 3B Justin Turner and C Yasmani Grandal are out of the lineup Saturday, April 23, with OF Yasiel Puig hitting third and C A.J. Ellis hitting eighth.

Fantasy Tip: Puig is still hitting .310 despite a 3-for-17 (.176) the last seven days. He's a high-end outfield option against Tyler Chatwood. Ellis is hitting just .154 and isn't worth the low-end flyer.

Dodgers | Two Dodgers sitting out

Thu, 21 Apr 2016 07:35:26 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers 3B Justin Turner and 2B Howie Kendrick are out of the lineup Thursday, April 21. OF Trayce Thompson is hitting fifth, and 3B Charlie Culberson is hitting eighth.

Fantasy Tip: Thompson is hitting .308 and is a good low-end flyer against Matt Wisler. Culberson doesn't possess the DFS clout for the start, though.
