Dodgers | Justin Turner with a day off

Thu, 28 Apr 2016 14:59:52 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers 3B Justin Turner is not in the starting lineup Thursday, April 28. 2B Howie Kendrick is starting at the hot corner and is hitting seventh against Miami Marlins SP Jose Fernandez.

Fantasy Tip: Kendrick is a daily pick tonight that you'll want to avoid. He's facing one of the more electric arms in the big leagues, and Kendrick comes into the game with a meager slash line of .143/.160/.143 with no homers or RBI in 49 at-bats.

Dodgers | Justin Turner back, batting cleanup

Mon, 25 Apr 2016 16:11:01 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers 3B Justin Turner (toe) is back in the lineup at third base and batting cleanup Monday, April 25, versus Miami Marlins SP Wei-Yin Chen.

Fantasy Tip: Turner missed a couple of games over the weekend at Coors Field, but it appears he's now over his toe ailment. With the Dodgers sitting some of their regulars this evening, Turner will have extra responsibilities to shoulder, and thus could be a fine low-price option in daily fantasy games. He's still yet to launch his first home run of the year, however, after registering a career-high 16 long balls last season.

Dodgers | Justin Turner expected back Monday

Sun, 24 Apr 2016 18:11:46 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers 3B Justin Turner (toe) is likely to return to the lineup Monday, April 25, against the Miami Marlins, according to manager Dave Roberts.

Fantasy Tip: Injuries always seem to derail Turner, and until he is back and producing, he can be left on your bench.

Dodgers | Justin Turner out of the lineup

Sun, 24 Apr 2016 12:31:49 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers 3B Justin Turner was not in the starting lineup against Colorado Rockies SP Jordan Lyles Sunday, April 24. 2B Howie Kendrick will start at third base, while OF Trayce Thompson will start in left field and is batting eighth in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Thompson has recorded only one hit in his last seven games, so owners should be able to find better options to use for their starting lineups.

Dodgers | Two Dodgers sitting out

Sat, 23 Apr 2016 14:07:55 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers 3B Justin Turner and C Yasmani Grandal are out of the lineup Saturday, April 23, with OF Yasiel Puig hitting third and C A.J. Ellis hitting eighth.

Fantasy Tip: Puig is still hitting .310 despite a 3-for-17 (.176) the last seven days. He's a high-end outfield option against Tyler Chatwood. Ellis is hitting just .154 and isn't worth the low-end flyer.

Dodgers | Two Dodgers sitting out

Thu, 21 Apr 2016 07:35:26 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers 3B Justin Turner and 2B Howie Kendrick are out of the lineup Thursday, April 21. OF Trayce Thompson is hitting fifth, and 3B Charlie Culberson is hitting eighth.

Fantasy Tip: Thompson is hitting .308 and is a good low-end flyer against Matt Wisler. Culberson doesn't possess the DFS clout for the start, though.

Dodgers | Justin Turner could play Friday

Thu, 14 Apr 2016 17:15:44 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers 3B Justin Turner (hand) is expected to return to the starting lineup against the San Francisco Giants Friday, April 15, even though he did not take batting practice or field grounders Thursday, April 14, according to manager Dave Roberts. Turner was hit by a pitch on his left hand Wednesday, April 13, and is still experiencing soreness even though X-rays came back negative.

Fantasy Tip: Turner should be avoided in daily fantasy leagues until he has demonstrated that he is both healthy and effective. He is batting .242 with three RBI through his first 33 at-bats of the season.

Dodgers | Several Dodgers starters resting

Thu, 14 Apr 2016 15:41:22 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers 3B Justin Turner, OF Joc Pederson, C Yasmani Grandal and 2B Chase Utley are all out of the starting lineup against Arizona Diamondbacks left-handed SP Robbie Ray Thursday, April 14. 2B Howie Kendrick moves to third base, C Austin Barnes is starting at second and hitting eighth, OF Trayce Thompson is in center field and batting sixth, while OF Enrique Hernandez gets the start in left and is leading off.

Fantasy Tip: With a lot of moving parts in the Los Angeles lineup tonight, you should certainly consider using Ray in your lineup this evening. Barnes and Thompson are deep sleepers as lotto tickets in daily games. Hernandez, who has some thump in his stick, could be a sneaky deep sleeper while hitting leadoff.

Dodgers | Justin Turner, Carl Crawford resting

Thu, 07 Apr 2016 09:47:43 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers 3B Justin Turner and OF Carl Crawford are sitting out Thursday, April 7. OF Enrique Hernandez is starting at third base and hitting seventh, while OF Scott Van Slyke is in left field and is hitting fifth against San Francisco Giants SP Jake Peavy.

Fantasy Tip: Turner had offseason knee surgery and could be rested in day games following night games often in the early going. Both Van Slyke and Hernandez are midrange sleeper options at lowered costs in daily contests this afternoon.

Dodgers | Justin Turner might sit Thursday

Wed, 06 Apr 2016 23:42:40 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers 3B Justin Turner (knee) might sit Thursday, April 7, against the San Francisco Giants, as manager Dave Roberts said he is being cautious with Turner in day games after night contests. Turner is still making his way back to full health after knee surgery.

Fantasy Tip: Reserve Turner in fantasy leagues which allow daily moves, and avoid him in DFS play just to be on the safe side.
