Updating a previous report, free-agent DL Maurice Fountain (knee) is recovering from a torn patellar tendon in his right knee. He suffered the injury in mid-May at the Philadelphia Eagles rookie minicamp. He was cut Friday, June 22, with an injury settlement.

The Philadelphia Eagles have signed free-agent DT Tevita Finau (Cardinals). Terms of the contract were not disclosed. In a corresponding move, the team waived DE Maurice Fountain (undisclosed) after reaching an injury settlement.

Harvey Fialkov and Omar Kelly, of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, report the Miami Dolphins have signed street free-agent LB Maurice Fountain. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. Fountain played for the Utah Blaze of the Arena Football League last season.
