Phillies | Ben Revere sitting out Thursday

Thu, 02 Jul 2015 12:07:01 -0700

Philadelphia Phillies OF Ben Revere is not in the starting lineup Thursday, July 2. OF Odubel Herrera is starting in center field and hitting leadoff against Milwaukee Brewers SP Matt Garza.

Fantasy Tip: Herrera ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) is a low-end flyer as a sleeper on FantasyScore as he draws the start today. Herrera is only hitting .250 (45-for-180) against right-handers this year but does have both of his home runs against them.

Phillies | Domonic Brown sitting out

Wed, 01 Jul 2015 11:28:34 -0700

Philadelphia Phillies OF Domonic Brown is not in the starting lineup Wednesday, July 1. OF Odubel Herrera is starting in center field and hitting seventh against Milwaukee Brewers SP Kyle Lohse.

Fantasy Tip: Herrera ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) has been a FantasyScore afterthought for a while now and has lost a starting spot in the outfield. He could be a sleeper play worth considering, though. Lohse has been much better away from Miller Park this year, but he still has a 4.37 ERA on the road and has allowed at least three earned runs in four of his last five starts.

Phillies | Ben Revere sitting vs. Nats

Fri, 26 Jun 2015 14:28:30 -0700

Philadelphia Phillies OF Ben Revere is not in the starting lineup Friday, June 26. OF Odubel Herrera is playing center field and leading off against Washington Nationals SP Max Scherzer Friday.

Fantasy Tip: Against Scherzer, there is no reason to turn to Herrera ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) at FantasyScore Friday. Revere ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) is posting another solid fantasy season in the stolen base (18) and batting average (.292) category, and he remains a solid low-end option in all leagues.

Phillies | Ben Revere on the bench

Tue, 16 Jun 2015 13:10:03 -0700

Philadelphia Phillies OF Ben Revere is not in the starting lineup against Baltimore Orioles SP Chris Tillman Tuesday, June 16. OF Odubel Herrera will start in center field and is batting second in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Revere ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) likely is receiving a day off and should return to the lineup in the near future. Herrera ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) has six hits in the last seven games and two RBI in that span. Owners could consider using Herrera in their lineup, but there are likely better options to use.

Phillies | Odubel Herrera starting Saturday

Sat, 13 Jun 2015 12:50:38 -0700

Philadelphia Phillies OF Odubel Herrera will start in center field in place of OF Ben Revere Saturday, June 13.

Fantasy Tip: Herrera ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) isn't the worst outfield play today if you want to spend more at other positions on FantasyScore. It's a risky proposition starting anyone against Gerrit Cole this season, however, so roster him at your own risk.

Phillies | Odubel Herrera back in two-spot

Sun, 07 Jun 2015 07:59:41 -0700

Philadelphia Phillies OF Odubel Herrera is starting in center field and hitting second in the order Sunday, June 7, against the San Francisco Giants and RHP Ryan Vogelsong. OF Jeff Francoeur is out of the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Herrera ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) is hitting just .232 against righties, but he has hit nine doubles and his lone home run against right-handed pitchers this season. With Vogelsong prone to the occasional disaster, Herrera can be used in GPP tournaments.

Phillies | Odubel Herrera sitting out Thursday

Thu, 04 Jun 2015 12:35:40 -0700

Philadelphia Phillies OF Odubel Herrera is not in the starting lineup Thursday, June 4. OF Jeff Francoeur is starting in right field and hitting second in the batting order against Cincinnati Reds SP Anthony DeSclafani.

Fantasy Tip: Herrera is currently in a 3-for-24 (.125) funk at the plate. Francoeur ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) does have all three of his home runs against right-handed pitchers, but his inconsistent bat makes for a weak and risky option on FantasyScore.

Phillies | Odubel Herrera in leadoff spot

Wed, 03 Jun 2015 11:43:32 -0700

Philadelphia Phillies OF Odubel Herrera is hitting leadoff against Cincinnati Reds SP Mike Leake Wednesday, June 3.

Fantasy Tip: Herrera ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) has cooled off since a fine opening month, and he's batting .249 (45-for-181) with one home run, 15 RBI and six stolen bases. Setting the table makes him at least worth a look on FantasyScore today against Leake, who has been in freefall recently.

Sat, 30 May 2015 09:02:11 -0700

Philadelphia Phillies OF Odubel Herrera is not in the starting lineup Saturday, May 30.

Fantasy Tip: Herrera ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) probably is just receiving a day off and should return to the lineup soon. Jeff Francoeur ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) is in the starting lineup but is not must-start option on FantasyScore.

Phillies | Odubel Herrera not playing Wednesday

Wed, 13 May 2015 11:22:15 -0700

Philadelphia Phillies OF Odubel Herrera isn't in the starting lineup Wednesday, May 13. OF Darin Ruf is starting in left field and hitting cleanup against Pittsburgh Pirates SP Francisco Liriano.

Fantasy Tip: Ruf ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) is hitting only .188 (13-for-69) with two home runs and six RBI, although he is 6-for-18 (.333) with both of his dingers against southpaws in 2015. Still, Liriano is a nasty lefty arm that should give the weak-hitting Philly lineup trouble. He's also limited righties to a .112/.208/.224 slash line this year. Ruf is a weak play all things considered.
