|White Sox | Conor Gillaspie sitting out vs. Royals|
Fri, 24 Apr 2015 13:51:25 -0700
Fantasy Tip: While Gillaspie ($2,300, 4.6% of cap) has five doubles this season, he is only batting .195 and reaching base at a .233 clip. He is a fantasy afterthought outside of AL-only and cavernous mixed leagues. Beckham ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) is nothing more than a low-priced flier for FantasyScore contests Friday, although he has started the season 6-for-17.

|White Sox | Conor Gillaspie sitting Friday|
Fri, 17 Apr 2015 09:17:52 -0700
Chicago White Sox 3B Conor Gillaspie is not in the starting lineup Friday, April 17. 2B Gordon Beckham is starting at third base and hitting seventh in the batting order against Detroit Tigers SP David Price.
Fantasy Tip: Beckham ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) is just 3-for-24 with four strikeouts in his career against Price, making him a weaker second base option at FantasyScore today.

|White Sox | Conor Gillaspie not 100%|
Tue, 24 Mar 2015 16:08:42 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Gillaspie's projected everyday at-bats and potential help in batting average -- .282 last season -- are his best fantasy assets. He added 15 pounds of muscle in the offseason which could help his power, though, and he is in his offensive prime at 27, too. Still, Gillaspie is nothing more than a late-round option in deep mixed leagues and AL-only formats.

|White Sox | Conor Gillaspie adds weight|
Mon, 16 Mar 2015 15:05:18 -0700
Chicago White Sox 3B Conor Gillaspie added 15 pounds of muscle and altered his offseason workout schedule to combat the late-season slides he has experienced the past two years. He's a .305 hitter in April and May, a .261 hitter in June and July and a .223 hitter over August and September.
Fantasy Tip: Gillaspie is best left to the late rounds in deep mixed and AL-only leagues. He did finish last season with a helpful .282 batting average, though, and there is potential for him to improve his counting stats in 2015. At 27, he is in his offensive prime, too.

|White Sox | Conor Gillaspie ticketed for platoon role?|
Mon, 26 Jan 2015 15:15:47 -0800
Chicago White Sox 3B Conor Gillaspie has spent the last two years as the team's starting third baseman, but this year he'll likely serve in a platoon role with INF Emilio Bonifacio. Gillaspie hit a career-high .282 last season, but he struggled against lefties (.221/.248/.317) compared to .300/.360/.444 against right-handers. Bonifacio is much better from the right side while facing lefties. Gillaspie is willing to fill whatever role the team needs, and he gained roughly 15 pounds in the offseason so he can be more of a power threat.

|White Sox | Conor Gillaspie on fire|
Mon, 14 Jul 2014 15:08:39 -0700
Chicago White Sox 3B Conor Gillaspie has a six-game hitting streak, slashing .526/.571./1.211. He has 10 hits, nine runs, three home runs and five RBIs during the streak. On the season, Gillaspie has a .326/.377/.484 line.
Fantasy Tip: Obviously, the recent offensive outburst is unsustainable, but Gillaspie has hit for a solid slash line all season. He is worth a flier in deep leagues, if you need help at third base.

|White Sox | Conor Gillaspie sidelined|
Mon, 07 Jul 2014 19:16:42 -0700
Chicago White Sox 3B Conor Gillaspie (knee) was out of the lineup Monday, July 7, against the Boston Red Sox due to a sore right knee. He was hit in the right knee by a pitch Sunday, July 6. "He's moving a little bit better," manager Robin Ventura said. "But he's sore, and we just felt it was better to give him today and make sure he's able to get out there and move around and dive and do all that stuff." Gillaspie had X-rays on the knee that showed no break.
