Oakland Athletics 1B Kila Ka'aihue delivered a game-winning bloop single in the bottom of the 14th inning Wednesday, April 25, against the Chicago White. "You relish that, you look forward to it when you're taking your BP and your work," Ka'aihue said. "You prepare to get that big hit. You don't work on grounding out and flying out. It wasn't the hardest ball I've hit in my life. It won the game for the team, that's all that counts."

Oakland Athletics 1B Kila Ka'aihue had three hits Sunday, April 15, against the Seattle Mariners to raise his season average to .500. In his four starts, he is batting a robust .600 on the season. The team needs to make a transaction Tuesday, April 17, when SP Tyson Ross is recalled from Triple-A Sacramento. Ka'aihue looked like a candidate to be demoted, but perhaps it might be someone else.
