Washington Nationals SP Stephen Strasburg (elbow) is expected to be limited to 160 innings this year after coming back from Tommy John surgery. SP Jordan Zimmermann had the same routine with the team following the exact same surgery.

Washington Nationals SP Stephen Strasburg allowed just one hit and struck out 10 in six scoreless innings against the Florida Marlins Wednesday, Sept. 28, for his first win since July of last year. Strasburg had 24 strikeouts and an ERA of 1.50 in 24 innings this year.

Washington Nationals manager Davey Johnson is planning to give the ball to SP Stephen Strasburg for the season finale against the Florida Marlins Wednesday, Sept. 28, barring inclement weather. It will be his fifth start since coming back from Tommy John surgery. Johnson also said C Ivan Rodriguez will catch the final game.

Washington Nationals manager Davey Johnson said he is thinking about giving SP Stephen Strasburg two more starts this year. Strasburg will pitch against the Atlanta Braves Friday, Sept. 23, and could pitch on the last day of the season against the Florida Marlins Wednesday, Sept. 28, on four days of rest.
