Updating a previous report, Washington Nationals SP Stephen Strasburg (elbow) says he's uncertain as to whether or not he'll pitch again in 2016. Strasburg received a platelet-rich plasma injection on Friday, Sept. 9, that is designed to aid in the healing process. An MRI previously determined there was no tear in the ulnar collateral ligament.

Updating previous reports, Washington Nationals SP Stephen Strasburg (elbow) isn't necessarily out for the season because of a strained flexor mass in his right elbow, trainer Paul Lessard said. Strasburg's ulnar collateral ligament was intact. "I'm thinking let's take care of the swelling and get him to a pain-free range of motion, and then we'll start a strengthening program," Lessard said. "I'm just worried about the next four or five days right now."

Washington Nationals SP Stephen Strasburg got back into the win column after beating the Cleveland Indians in his start Wednesday, July 27. The right-hander registered seven shutout innings, allowing only three hits and two walks. He also struck out seven.
Fantasy Tip: Well, after proving that he is indeed human when he finally lost his last time out, Strasburg made sure it wouldn't happen twice in a row, recording his third scoreless outing of the season in this one. Now 14-1 with a 2.68 ERA and 155 K's in 127 2/3 innings, Strasburg is clearly one of the favorites for this year's NL Cy Young award.

Washington Nationals SP Stephen Strasburg allowed six runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out 10 batters during the Nationals' 6-3 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers Thursday, July 21.
Fantasy Tip: It was just the fourth time in 18 starts that Strasburg allowed more than three runs this season, and in 12 outings, he's limited opponents to two runs or fewer. And, the 10 punchouts mitigated some of the damage of the rough showing. Strasburg remains a high-end fantasy arm, and view this start as a blip on the radar.
