Washington Nationals SP Stephen Strasburg (elbow) felt some discomfort while throwing another bullpen session Friday, Oct. 7. Strasburg was supposed to throw 35 pitches during the session, but ended at 30 or 31 pitches, according to manager Dusty Baker. Strasburg threw on flat ground in the outfield Tuesday, Oct. 11. Baker said he's not worried about Strasburg's ailment.

Updating a previous report, Washington Nationals SP Stephen Strasburg (elbow) says he's uncertain as to whether or not he'll pitch again in 2016. Strasburg received a platelet-rich plasma injection on Friday, Sept. 9, that is designed to aid in the healing process. An MRI previously determined there was no tear in the ulnar collateral ligament.

Updating previous reports, Washington Nationals SP Stephen Strasburg (elbow) isn't necessarily out for the season because of a strained flexor mass in his right elbow, trainer Paul Lessard said. Strasburg's ulnar collateral ligament was intact. "I'm thinking let's take care of the swelling and get him to a pain-free range of motion, and then we'll start a strengthening program," Lessard said. "I'm just worried about the next four or five days right now."
