Fantasy Tip: Reddick is available in a good chunk of mixed leagues thanks to his under .200 batting average. His poor start was likely the result of his wrist injury that lingered since April. If he's fully healthy now, he could turn things around quickly.

Oakland Athletics OF Josh Reddick (wrist) went 1-for-4 with two runs, a walk and a stolen base with Triple-A Sacramento Wednesday, May 29, and he's now 2-for-7 with five runs, two stolen bases and two walks in his two rehab games.
Fantasy Tip: Look for the A's to activate Reddick from the DL this Friday for their weekend series. He's available on many waiver wires thanks to his poor start. If he's finally over his wrist injury, he could turn things around quickly. He should be owned in all leagues for his power potential since he'll return immediately to a starting outfield role.

Oakland Athletics OF Josh Reddick (wrist) is expected to start a rehab assignment with Double-A Stockton Monday, May 27, and with Triple-A Sacramento Tuesday, May 28, and he hopes to rejoin the team during their homestand next weekend.
Fantasy Tip: If Reddick gets through a short minor league rehab assignment without any setback, he should return to the starting outfield alignment in Oakland shortly after that. That'll mean even less frequent playing time for Seth Smith and Chris B. Young. Reddick's wrist troubles likely played a part in his slow start this year. If he's healthy, he could turn that around quickly. Consider picking him back up when he returns.

Oakland Athletics OF Josh Reddick (wrist) will do half a batting practice session Friday, May 24, and he could do a full one Saturday, May 25, depending on how he feels. The team will decide after that if he's ready for a rehab assignment.

Fantasy Tip: This is very positive news for Reddick, who was considering the possibility that he might need to have surgery on his wrist. When he eventually returns, it'll mean even less playing time for Chris B. Young and Seth Smith.

Oakland Athletics OF Josh Reddick (wrist) hit balls off a tee Saturday, May 18, using both a fungo bat and a baseball bat. Manager Bob Melvin appeared optimistic that he would not require surgery but he is unlikely to be activated from the disabled list when he is eligible to return Wednesday, May 22. Reddick will not accompany the club at the beginning of their road trip and needs to take batting practice and participate in a minor league rehab assignment before he is activated.

Fantasy Tip: Reddick had similar surgery on his other wrist a few years ago and missed two months after that. He's remaining optimistic right now, but if he needs surgery, Chris B. Young and Seth Smith will benefit the most in his absence.

Fantasy Tip: Stash Reddick wherever possible, but recognize that his power might take awhile to come back even after he returns. With Chris B. Young (quadriceps) also sidelined, Michael Taylor should continue seeing playing time, sustaining his speculative deep-mixed value. Barton will probably be used in the mishmash of DH options and warrants a flyer strictly in AL-only games; his worth depends heavily on playing time, not necessarily stick skills.

Oakland Athletics OF Josh Reddick (wrist) reportedly is headed to the 15-day disabled list with a wrist injury. The move has not been made yet, but if Reddick goes to the DL the Athletics may call up 1B Daric Barton from Triple-A Sacramento.
Fantasy Tip: Well, this would explain Reddick's power outage at the plate. If his wrist has bothered him for longer than just a few days, it would explain his sub-.200 batting average. Reddick's job could be in jeopardy if he has to be on the DL for a while; the Athletics have a lot of outfielders.

Oakland Athletics OF Josh Reddick (wrist) said MRI results on his wrist showed inflammation. Reddick required surgery for a tendon problem in his other wrist, and hopes he won't require surgery for this injury.
