The Milwaukee Brewers recalled 3B Taylor Green and purchased the contract of SS Edwin Maysonet from Triple-A Nashville Saturday, May 5. The team also moved 1B Mat Gamel (knee) to the 60-day disabled list to make room on the 40-man roster.

Milwaukee Brewers 2B Brooks Conrad and 3B Taylor Green are apparently battling it out for the final bench spot. Green was the team's minor league player of the year. He likely needs to show he can play first base to make the roster.

Milwaukee Brewers 3B Taylor Green made a start at second base Wednesday, Sept. 7. His natural position is second base, but he has played a majority of his time in 2011 at third base. "I like making double-play turns, and I feel pretty comfortable there. It shouldn't be a problem," Green said.

The Milwaukee Brewers have recalled IF Taylor Green from Triple-A Nashville and optioned RP Tim Dillard to Nashville. Green could have an opportunity to platoon at third base with Casey McGehee.

The Milwaukee Brewers have been rumored to be searching for middle infield help, and the intensity of their search heated up when 2B Rickie Weeks (ankle) landed on the disabled list. The Brewers could be looking at Colorado Rockies 2B Mark Ellis, Florida Marlins 2B Omar Infante or Seattle Mariners 2B Adam Kennedy. The team also talked about recalling 3B Taylor Green from the minors, but he doesn't have much experience at the keystone.
