Amalie Benjamin, of The Boston Globe, reports the Boston Red Sox signed amateur free-agent C Oscar Perez (Venezuela) Wednesday, July 2. Perez was designated to the Dominican summer league Red Sox. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
