Pirates | Starling Marte to be placed on DL

Wed, 23 Jul 2014 12:27:56 -0700

Pittsburgh Pirates OF Starling Marte (head) will be placed on the disabled list, but it is not known if it will be the seven-day disabled list or the 15-day disabled list.

Fantasy Tip: Travis Snider may receive more playing time while Marte is out of the lineup. Josh Harrison could also receive some playing time in the outfield but could also play third base, depending on Pedro Alvarez's injury. Snider should help in NL-only leagues but may not have much value in mixed leagues.
