Fri, 24 May 2013 11:24:16 -0700 The Colorado Rockies activated OF Michael Cuddyer (neck) from the 15-day disabled list Friday, May 24. Fantasy Tip: Cuddyer's return will push Eric Young Jr. and Charlie Blackmon to reserve outfield duty, but Young could see semi-regular playing time alongside Dexter Fowler in center field. Young is still useful in cavernous mixed formats and NL leagues thanks to his stolen base contributions.
Mon, 13 May 2013 17:09:32 -0700 Colorado Rockies OF Michael Cuddyer's (neck) MRI exam showed an inflamed cervical disc in his neck, but there was no other damage found in his neck. He received an epidural injection to relieve pain in his neck, and he's expected to resume light baseball activities this week. OF Charlie Blackmon will be in the lineup for the second straight night Monday, May 13. The team is optimistic that Cuddyer can return after a short rehab assignment. He's eligible to come off the disabled list May 23. Fantasy Tip: Blackmon is worth a look in deep mixed formats in the short term while he's playing, but Eric Young Jr. has better skills (mainly speed) to warrant a pickup in those leagues.
Mon, 13 May 2013 13:55:05 -0700 Colorado Rockies OF Michael Cuddyer's (neck) MRI exam showed no new issues with his neck, and he'll receive an epidural injection. Fantasy Tip: Charlie Blackmon was called up Sunday, and he received the start. Eric Young Jr. should see increased playing time as well, and the two could form some sort of platoon with Cuddyer out. Young, if he plays often enough, could be a big boost for mixed league owners looking for some speed.
Sun, 12 May 2013 11:16:55 -0700 Confirming a previous report, the Colorado Rockies have placed OF Michael Cuddyer (neck) on the 15-day disabled list because of a bulging disk in his neck. The move is retroactive to Thursday, May 9, which would make him eligible to return May 24. In a corresponding move, OF Charlie Blackmon was recalled from Triple-A Colorado Springs.
Sat, 11 May 2013 16:30:06 -0700 The Colorado Rockies will place OF Michael Cuddyer (neck) on the 15-day disabled list because of a bulging disc. The team will recall OF Charlie Blackmon from Triple-A Colorado Springs to take his roster spot. Fantasy Tip: Cuddyer was off to a very good start this season but has been dealing with neck issues throughout his career. Owners should look to place him on their disabled list or bench until he return. Blackmon probably will see playing time while he is up with the Rockies and could be an option in NL-only leagues.

Sat, 18 Aug 2012 10:19:51 -0700 Colorado Rockies OF Charlie Blackmon said his turf toe injury is behind him, and he hit .303 (69-for-228) with 18 doubles, four triples, five home runs and 34 RBIs while with Triple-A Colorado Springs. "I knew the adjustment that he made in spring training," manager Jim Tracy said. "He's working at using the lower half of his body better than he did when he was here the first time around last year. If numbers tell you anything, it looks like he's driving the ball better from what I saw statistically."
Thu, 24 May 2012 14:39:26 -0700 Colorado Rockies OF Charlie Blackmon (toe) plans to hit on the field Thursday, May 24, while he rehabs with Triple-A Colorado Springs.
