SP Tyson Ross will pitch Wednesday, May 9, followed by SPs Bartolo Colon Thursday, May 10, and Tom Milone Friday, May 11.

Ross, who is the team's fifth starter, will be opposed by SP Dan Haren. Ross was 0-1 with a 4.00 ERA in nine innings over two starts with the River Cats, allowing four earned runs, 10 hits and three walks with four strikeouts over nine innings.

"He's always been a fierce competitor," manager Bob Melvin said of Godfrey. "Not being a knock on him, but you look at his stuff and you say there's nothing that really overwhelms you. But he goes out there and competes. ... He earned the job." Ross will rejoin the team April 17 as the team's fifth starter. Melvin would like to see Ross gain more command of his sinker.
