The two trained together in Arkansas for 10 days in the winter. "Everything he does, he throws with a downhill plane. And he really gets that front arm out," Friedrich said. "I started doing it and it immediately clicked. I felt like I could spot the ball and repeat my delivery a lot better." Friedrich dropped 30 pounds in the offseason, and he'll likely start the year at Class AAA.
