Houston Astros C Jason Castro (neck) is out of the lineup Wednesday, April 25, and still has neck soreness after a collision at home plate two days ago. He's expected to be ready to return Friday, April 27.

Houston Astros C Jason Castro (neck) had nothing more than a stiff neck after being taken out in a home plate collision Monday, April 23. Castro wasn't in the lineup Tuesday, April 24, but only because it was C Chris Snyder's day to catch. Castro will return to the lineup Wednesday, April 25.

Houston Astros C Jason Castro (knee, foot) has shown this spring that he is ready for a heavy workload during the regular season. "He's handled everything so well," manager Bradley Mills said. "With that said, we're not going to put it on him right away. We're still going to let him kind of ease into that as well. The way he's handled everything has been great." Castro hasn't had any issues physically in spring training.

Houston Astros C Jason Castro (knee) went 1-for-2 with an RBI double in his third straight game Friday, March 9. He also threw out a baserunner attempting to steal.

Houston Astros C Jason Castro (knee, foot) will catch three innings in the team's spring opener Saturday, March 3. Manager Bradley Mills wants Castro to catch another three innings Monday, March 5, and then maybe four Wednesday, March 7.
