Updating a previous report, Kansas City Royals 1B Eric Hosmer (finger) will miss three to six weeks with a stress fracture of the third finger of his right hand. He aggravated a previous injury on a check swing Thursday, July 31. Hosmer will be placed on the disabled list.
Fantasy Tip: The likely replacement for Hosmer at first base will be Billy Butler, who has turned it on of late with the stick. Butler has been the team's permanent designated hitter for a while, though, so he'll probably need to be spelled often.
