Royals | Two more hits for Eric Hosmer

Kansas City Royals 1B Eric Hosmer had a pair of doubles in four at-bats Wednesday, July 29, against the Cleveland Indians.

Fantasy Tip: Hosmer ($4,300, 8.6% of cap) has hit safely in 11 straight games, hitting a robust .523 (23-for-44). He also had eight hits in the three-game set for the Indians, and is now hitting .429 (21-for-49) with five doubles, a triple, five homers and 19 RBIs against Cleveland pitching this season. FantasyScore owners will want to use him regardless of opponent right. But remember him when these teams tangle again Sept. 14-17 in Cleveland, and again Sept. 25-27 in K.C.

Sun, 26 Jul 2015 09:48:51 -0700

Royals | Eric Hosmer in two-hole

Thu, 09 Jul 2015 08:05:13 -0700

Kansas City Royals 1B Eric Hosmer is hitting second Thursday, July 9, with 1B Kendrys Morales taking the cleanup spot.

Fantasy Tip: Hosmer ($4,500, 9.0% of cap) loses some luster on FantasyScore, and he's hitting just .179 this month. Morales ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) has been decent with a .267-1-8 line this month, and he makes an excellent play today against Nathan Karns. This could be a frequent arrangement with Alex Gordon (groin) out.

Royals | Eric Hosmer returns to the lineup

Thu, 02 Jul 2015 14:51:09 -0700

Kansas City Royals 1B Eric Hosmer (finger) is batting fourth against Minnesota Twins SP Kyle Gibson Thursday, July 2. Hosmer hasn't played the past three games because of a finger injury.

Fantasy Tip: Hosmer ($4,500, 9.0% of cap) can be returned to your lineups in yearly formats, but FantasyScore players shouldn't fret fading him Thursday. June wasn't kind to Hosmer, as he finished the month with a .624 OPS and only 10 runs, a home run and nine RBI. It isn't out of the question to bench him in shallow formats until he heats back up, either, and especially if you have alternatives.

Royals | Eric Hosmer feeling better

Tue, 30 Jun 2015 21:14:01 -0700

Kansas City Royals 1B Eric Hosmer (finger) missed his second straight game Tuesday, June 30, and he is likely to miss another game Wednesday, July 1, due to his sprained left ring finger. Manager Ned Yost said he isn't sure when Hosmer will return, but he isn't expected to be sidelined long.

Fantasy Tip: Kendrys Morales ($4,500; or 9.0% of cap) has been starting at first base with Hosmer on the mend. Avoid Hosmer in FantasyScore until he can officially return and prove his health in a full game without any setbacks.

Mon, 29 Jun 2015 15:56:04 -0700

Kansas City Royals 1B Eric Hosmer (finger) is not expected to miss all of the games against the Houston Astros this week because of a finger injury.

Fantasy Tip: It does not appear like Hosmer ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) will need to be placed on the disabled list, so owners should monitor the situation to see when he will be back in the lineup. Kendrys Morales ($4,300, 8.6% of cap) likely will start at first base and is a solid starting option on FantasyScore.
