Tampa Bay Rays SS Tim Beckham will be the starting shortstop against the Baltimore Orioles Sunday, May 3.

Fantasy Tip: Beckham ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) only has six hits over his last 11 games but also has four RBI in that span. He is batting .259 so far this season, but owners on FantasyScore may be able to find a better option to use.

Rays | Asdrubal Cabrera on the bench

Tue, 21 Apr 2015 15:23:52 -0700

Tampa Bay Rays SS Asdrubal Cabrera is sitting out of the starting lineup Tuesday, April 21. SS Tim Beckham is starting at the 6 and hitting sixth in the batting order against Boston Red Sox SP Wade Miley.

Fantasy Tip: Beckham ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) has two home runs on the young season but is hitting .267 (8-for-30). Both of his major league dingers have come off lefties, though, so the matchup is right if you feel like gambling and saving money with Beckham at FantasyScore.

Rays | Tim Beckham out indefinitely

Sun, 10 Mar 2013 09:48:41 -0700

Tampa Bay Rays SS Tim Beckham (eye) is out indefinitely after sustaining a laceration under his right eye and receiving stitches Friday, March 8. While practicing a defensive bunt drill, Beckham came across second base to catch a throw but the ball glanced off his glove and struck him in the face, causing the lens from his sunglasses to cut his skin. "Just a freak accident, man, it can happen to anybody," Beckham said. "Just comes with the territory, I guess, you're playing baseball. You're supposed to catch the ball with your glove, not your face."
