The Chicago White Sox placed 2B Gordon Beckham (wrist) on the 15-day disabled list Friday, April 12, and recalled RP Deunte Heath from the minors in a corresponding move.

Fantasy Tip: This move assures that Conor Gillaspie will likely receive the majority of starts at third base with Jeff Keppinger sliding over to second base to replace Beckham. Brent Morel could be called up eventually, but for now, Gillaspie should be your target if you're desperate for a third baseman in deep AL leagues.

Fantasy Tip: It's probably safe to drop Beckham in deep mixed universes. Jeff Keppinger's value doesn't change at all, since he was already playing regularly at third base.

Chicago White Sox 2B Gordon Beckham (hand) is dealing with a fractured hamate bone in his hand, and he could be out for six weeks. The team will make a roster move Friday, April 12.

Fantasy Tip: Jeff Keppinger can slide over to replace Beckham at the keystone. Conor Gillaspie could be the biggest beneficiary of playing time at third base in the shuffle for PT at the hot corner. Angel Sanchez and Hector Gimenez were taking grounders at third today, so they could factor in but are secondary options. The White Sox could also call up Brent Morel from Triple-A Charlotte. Gillaspie should be your first target in deep AL-only leagues until we know more.
