Allen Wilson, of the Buffalo News, reports Buffalo Bills OL Jason Peters, a converted tight end, is working on his transition to offensive tackle this year and the team is intrigued by his potential. "He's got all the potential in the world," offensive line coach Jim McNally said. "We're just trying to bring him along and not put a whole lot of pressure on him and see what he can do." Peters said his teammates have been instrumental in helping him adjust to his new spot. "Being around Jonas Jennings and Marcus Price, they showed me all the ins and outs, and Mike Williams is helping a lot me now," Peters said. "I'm not really worried about starting or being a backup. I'm just trying to learn the position, learn the steps and techniques and get better at it every day."

Buffalo Bills head coach Mike Mularkey decided to have OT Marcus Price work with the first-team offense on Sunday, Aug. 1, replacing OT Mike Williams at right tackle, according to Gregg Pastore of BuffaloBills.com. Williams had missed some minicamp time, and the coach felt he needed to see if he was on pace with the other starters physically.

Jennings, listed as questionable for the game, said he likely won't practice on Friday, Nov. 7, either. OL Marcus Price will get the start if Jennings is unable to play.

As an update to previous reports, the Times-Picayune reports New Orleans Saints TE Dave Stachelski spent Saturday night at a San Antonio hotel after being examined at a local hospital for a concussion. Stachelski flew back to New Orleans on a commercial flight Sunday. T Marcus Price and CB Michael Hawthorne also had concussions. No word on their conditions at this time.

According to their official site, the New Orleans Saints have signed free agent FB Derrick Harris and re-signed OT Marcus Price and DE Marques Douglas to one-year contracts. Harris, 6-foot, 252 pounds, is a solid lead blocker who can also play H-back. Douglas spent most of the 2000 season on the Saints injured reserve list and Price was inactive for eight games and appeared in seven contests. Price and Douglas had not been tendered contracts at the start of the free agent signing period.

Backup QB Jake Delhomme, LB Phil Clarke, TEs Lamont Hall and Dave Stachelski, OT Daryl Terrell, DE Willie Whitehead and WR Robert Wilson were given tenders. Stachelski was tendered at $298,000, while all the others were given $389,000 offers. OT Marcus Price, a restricted free agent, was not tendered a contract and thus he is now an unrestricted free agent.

The Sun-Herald reports LBs Phillip Ward and Stephen Gleason were promoted from the practice squad and were in uniform on Sunday. Ward replaced Corey Terry on the roster. Terry was put on injured reserve last week after rupturing his patellar tendon in last Sunday's win at St. Louis. To make room for Gleason, the Saints released tackle Marcus Price.
