Houston Texans LB Brian Cushing (knee) is expected to be ready for Week 1 of the regular season, according to head coach Gary Kubiak. "I'm watching him today, he sure looks like he's ready to go," Kubiak said Monday. "I know that it's not time to turn him loose yet, but he's come a long way. What'd he miss, 11 games last year plus two playoff games? You don't get that time back in this league, so I know he's chomping at the bit and ready to go."

"Really, where I stand right now is just looking forward to the next step always and what's coming up and my progression.
