Vikings | Phil Loadholt to try and limit Ray Edwards

Minnesota Vikings OT Phil Loadholt will have the primary responsibility of holding a former teammate, DL Ray Edwards, at bay in Week 12 against the Atlanta Falcons. Edwards spend his first five seasons with the Vikings before leaving to sign a five-year deal with the Falcons during the offseason. "We practiced against each other every day for the past two years," Loadholt said Wednesday, Nov. 23. "So, I think it's definitely an advantage to the point where I've seen him day in and day out my first couple years in this league."

Minnesota Vikings OT Phil Loadholt (knee) and C John Sullivan (concussion) missed practice Wednesday, Oct. 19, and their status for Week 7 against the Green Bay Packers is uncertain. "With Phil's situation being questionable, we're going to have to see how he progresses over the course of the week," head coach Leslie Frazier said. "With Sully's concussion, (we're) still going to probably day to day right up until Friday, what his available might be."
