Thu, 24 May 2012 06:47:01 -0700 Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler appeared to be taking a shot at former offensive coordinator Mike Martz by saying there is more communication with new offensive coordinator Mike Tice and quarterbacks coach Jeremy Bates. "There were plays out here today that I told (QB coach Jeremy Bates) I don't like them, let's think about getting rid of them and he's fine with that, and coach (OC Mike) Tice is fine with that," Cutler said. "It's a give and take and that's a breath of fresh air around here, being able to give ideas and everyone giving ideas and let's pick the best ones that work for everybody."

"Listen man, I'm going to say this and whoever plays for the Bears, if they want to have a conversation with me, so be it: Martz was working with lesser talent than he was accustomed to working with," Faulk said Tuesday, Jan. 31. "If they keep providing you lesser talent, you have to leave. I mean, other than RB Matt Forte, there wasn't anybody who would scare a defense. When you go and get WR Roy Williams and he becomes your No. 1 wide receiver, that's an issue. I'm defending Mike because I can only imagine how hard it was to game plan (with that roster)."

I'm just going to assume it's going to work out. " His name has been linked to college head coaching jobs at UCLA and Arizona State, as well as the head coaching gig with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
