The Associated Press reports Buffalo Bills LB Marcus Buggs (knee) will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury, according to head coach Dick Jauron. Buggs will require surgery after sustaining the injury in Week 5.

Updating a previous item, Chris Brown, of BuffaloBills.com, reports Buffalo Bills LB Kawika Mitchell (knee) and LB Marcus Buggs (knee) suffered knee injuries during the team's Week 5 game. Head coach Dick Jauron said he would know more about the injuries when the get examined further, but he added that he was "not optimistic" about both players.

LBs Keith Ellison, Paul Posluszny and Kawika Mitchell worked as the first-string unit, while LBs Nic Harris at SSL, Marcus Buggs at MLB and Ashlee Palmer at WLB manned the second-string unit.
