Washington Redskins DL Albert Haynesworth said defensive coordinator Jim Haslett has really helped him get acclimatized to the team's new 3-4 scheme, according to Rick Maese, of The Washington Post. Haslett provided Haynesworth with a better understanding of the scheme and his role in it. "What I was told earlier was completely different from what we're doing now," Haynesworth said. "Getting with (defensive coordinator Jim) Haslett these last few weeks has really cleared up a whole lot of stuff. I really enjoy it, and it's great to have him on my side to help me with the defense and stuff."

Updating a previous report, Steve Korte, of the Belleville News Democrat, reports St. Louis Rams QB Marc Bulger (concussion) will have to pass a neuropsych test Wednesday, Nov. 26, in order to play in the team's Week 13 game. Head coach Jim Haslett said does not think the concussion is as bad as the ones Bugler has suffered previously. "I thought he cleared up pretty, and at the end of the game he felt good. I don't think it's as bad as the ones in his past," Haslett said.

The Associated Press reports St. Louis Rams head coach Jim Haslett said RB Steven Jackson's (quadriceps) injury is related to his 27-day holdout during training camp. "It happens all the time. You can run all you want, you can lift weights all you want, but until you put pads on and you actually cut and move at full speed, you can't replicate that until you actually do it," Haslett said. Jackson said the football season is long and gruesome, and his injury was a freak injury.

"I haven't decided anything on anybody yet." QB Trent Green replaced QB Marc Bulger after the Rams fell behind 40-0 to the New York Jets at intermission in Week 10. Bulger had a woeful 29.3 passer rating by completing six of 13 tosses for 65 yards and throwing an interception.

Bill Coats, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports St. Louis Rams RB Steven Jackson (thigh) needs to practice Friday, Nov. 7, in order to play in Week 10, according to head coach Jim Haslett. When Jackson was asked if it was realistic for him to practice this week, he said, "A full practice, probably not, to be honest with you. I am surely hoping that I come in tomorrow and something miraculous happens, and I can come in and give a full practice because that is what (Haslett) wants. I have had a discussion with him but I was unable to do it today." Jackson added, "It is getting better, but with a hamstring, a quad or groin, those kinds of injuries, one day you feel great and the next day the slightest tweak could really set you back. That is what I am dealing with right now. One day I feel great, I feel like I can go and when it is time for me to show and prove that I am ready, it is just not responding the way we want it to."
