Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler and offensive coordinator Mike Tice were on such bad terms last season that QB Josh McCown had to act as a liason between the two. Tice is no longer with the team. "I was just talking to McCown this morning and one of the things we said is it's so cool to come to work where it's not one of those things where it's dreadful," WR Brandon Marshall said this week.
Fantasy Tip: Cutler's bad attitude has gotten in the way of his pure talent before. With a coaching staff that should cater to his needs, Cutler could be in line for a fine season with the best receiving options he's had at his disposal since coming to Chicago. It isn't wise to count on him for anything more than a capable backup option, however.

Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler has played for three offensive coordinators with the team and if current coordinator Mike Tice is relieved of his duties, it would make it four in five years. Cutler said he is hoping for more stability at the position. "It's hard for an offense and as a quarterback to get to where you want to be and be consistent on a weekly basis if you're changing coordinators every couple of years. That's a reality. I think it's an overlooked fact. I thought he did a good job. We're not done yet," Cutler said. "It's a difficult job where we had a lot of injuries on the offensive line, first year of the offense and you're expected to go out there and rip it up. But it's just reality. It's the first year of the offense."

He puts a lot of ownership and accountability on the players because we're the ones out there. He's like, 'Hey, if you guys don't like this, tell us you don't like it and then let's make a change and figure this out.' He's really good about that."

And as far as coming out this year, there are only so many receivers you can throw the ball to. You can choose to make it your wide receiver. Or you can make it your running back or your tight end. But there are only so many guys, there are only so many passes to go around. You have to be smart with how you distribute those."
