The Washington Post reports the agent for Washington Nationals SS prospect Esmailyn Gonzalez, now known as Carlos Alvarez, said he doubts his client, who lied about both his age and his name when the club signed him for a $1.4 million bonus in 2006, will be in camp when the rest of Washington's minor leaguers report on Friday, March 13.

Melissa Segura, of SI.com, reports Washington Nationals SS Esmailyn Gonzalez falsified his identity as a 19-year-old on the team's roster. He is actually 23-year-old Carlos Alvarez Daniel Lugo, according to four sources. The team signed him for $1.4 million in July of 2006. It is not known if Gonzalez will be able to obtain a visa to try out for the team in Spring Training.
