The Green Bay Packers are putting more time into preparing for the read-option in 2013. "We're going to do more," defensive coordinator Dom Capers said. "We're going to do more than we have because we know the first two teams we play run it. There will be a number of teams that have a little element of it in. How much it takes off, I don't know. The Green Bay Packers' defense sent five or more rushers 46.3 percent of the time last season, primarily because defensive coordinator Dom Capers felt his three- and four-man rushes weren't disruptive enough. Capers, however, wants to blitz less this season if possible. "I think the goal of every defense is to get pressure out of a four-man rush," Capers said. "That varies from week to week based on the kind of quarterback you're seeing (and) how fast they get the ball out of their hands. We certainly would like to overall improve our pass rush."

"I don't think the power part and the physical part will be any problem for him," Capers said. "His greatest learning will probably come in coverage and what we ask him to do there."
