Ravens | Danny Woodhead involved in passing game

Sat, 23 Dec 2017 17:15:52 -0800

Baltimore Ravens RB Danny Woodhead caught five passes for 33 yards against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 16.

Fantasy Tip: Woodhead has received a majority of his touches in the passing game this season but has not posted more than 33 receiving yards in any game. He is still valuable as a flex option in point-per-reception leagues because of his role in the passing game.

Ravens | Danny Woodhead catches six passes

Sun, 17 Dec 2017 14:29:26 -0800

Baltimore Ravens RB Danny Woodhead caught six passes for 31 yards against the Cleveland Browns in Week 15.

Fantasy Tip: Woodhead has been used mostly as a receiver since returning to the team and probably should only be used in point-per-reception leagues. He can be a flex option in PPR leagues next week against the Indianapolis Colts.

Ravens | Danny Woodhead involved in run, pass game

Mon, 27 Nov 2017 21:33:16 -0800

Baltimore Ravens RB Danny Woodhead rushed for 22 yards on four carries against the Houston Texans in Week 12. He also caught four passes 23 yards during the game.

Fantasy Tip: Woodhead should receive a similar workload in each game moving forward because of his ability to be a receiver out of the backfield. He can be at least a flex option in point-per-reception leagues.

Ravens | Danny Woodhead ready for regular workload

Fri, 24 Nov 2017 10:52:36 -0800

Baltimore Ravens RB Danny Woodhead will not be on a snap count in Week 12 against the Houston Texans, according to offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg. Woodhead was limited to 13 snaps in Week 11 in his return from the Reserve/Injured list with a hamstring injury in part due to the big lead Baltimore enjoyed.

Fantasy Tip: Woodhead makes for an interesting flex option in PPR leagues this week in that Houston's run defense has been among the best in the league. While Alex Collins is getting more work in the passing game than he was earlier in the season, Woodhead is about as good as it gets in that part of the game among running backs in the league. Owners scrambling from the loss of a player such as Chris Thompson could potentially get similar production from Woodhead moving forward.

Ravens | Danny Woodhead sparsely used

Mon, 20 Nov 2017 07:07:10 -0800

Baltimore Ravens RB Danny Woodhead played 13 of 59 plays (22 percent) in Week 11.

Fantasy Tip: He should be more involved moving forward, but he's really only an option in PPR formats. He's a flex option in fantasy.

Ravens | Danny Woodhead catches five passes

Sun, 19 Nov 2017 13:31:50 -0800

Baltimore Ravens RB Danny Woodhead caught five passes for 21 yards against the Green Bay Packers in Week 11.

Fantasy Tip: Woodhead returned to the lineup after missing most of the season because off a hamstring injury. He should be involved in the passing game moving forward and should be considered a No. 2 running back or a flex option in point-per-reception leagues.

Ravens | Danny Woodhead good to go

Sat, 18 Nov 2017 09:02:53 -0800

Baltimore Ravens RB Danny Woodhead was activated from the Reserve/Injured list Saturday, Nov. 18.

Fantasy Tip: Owners are advised to play the wait-and-see game with Woodhead in regards to starting him in fantasy, but the odds are high he will take over Javorius Allen's role beginning in Week 12 if he proves he can hold up against the Green Bay Packers. If he does, he should be a capable back-end RB2 in most leagues.

Ravens | Danny Woodhead expected to play

Fri, 17 Nov 2017 20:43:40 -0800

Baltimore Ravens RB Danny Woodhead's (hamstring) status for the Week 11 game against the Green Bay Packers won't be determined until later in the weekend, according to head coach John Harbaugh, but Harbaugh said the "expectation remains" for Woodhead to play.

Fantasy Tip: It's too risky to trust Woodhead as a starter in Week 11 if he does return from the long layoff, but he needs to owned because of his upside as receiver out of the backfield.

Ravens | Danny Woodhead nearing activation

Fri, 17 Nov 2017 09:59:29 -0800

Baltimore Ravens RB Danny Woodhead (hamstring) is awaiting clearance from team doctors and trainers after getting through most of what the team did in practice leading up to Week 11 against the Green Bay Packers.

Fantasy Tip: At this point, it would be a surprise if Woodhead isn't active, although he will obviously be on a snap count. Offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg announced Thursday Alex Collins will remain the "feature back" even when the Ravens' backfield is fully healthy, but that is unlikely to be the case since Woodhead is so good in the passing game. Woodhead's return should make Javorius Allen an afterthought in most leagues, however.

Ravens | Danny Woodhead's status uncertain

Mon, 13 Nov 2017 13:13:23 -0800

Baltimore Ravens RB Danny Woodhead (hamstring) will continue to take part in practice, but head coach John Harbaugh said he is not sure if Woodhead will be activated from the Reserve/Injured list this week.

Fantasy Tip: Woodhead appears to be making progress and could play a game in the near future, so owners should monitor the situation. He should be involved in the passing game when he returns and will be a valuable option for owners in point-per-reception leagues.
