Judd Zulgad, of the Minneapolis Star Tribune, reports the Minnesota Vikings signed undrafted rookie free-agent LB Brannon Carter (Northern Iowa). Carter participated in the team's offseason workout Tuesday, May 27, and was wearing No. 48. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

J.J. Pesavento, of Next Level Scouting, reports Northern Iowa LB Brannon Carter performed drills during a workout. Carter posted a 4.68 40-yard dash, a 7.19-second three-cone drill, a 4.39-second short shuttle, a 11.96-second long shuttle, a 37-inch vertical jump, a 9-foot-8 broad jump and completed 19 repetitions on the 225-pound bench press. He measured in at 6-foot-1 3/4, 228 pounds.
