Head coach John Fox said he wasn't concerned about his top running back being exposed to injuries on kickoffs. Stewart returned 58 kickoffs at the University of Oregon for a 28.26-yard average, with two touchdowns. He ranked third in the Pac-10 last season as a junior. The Panthers ranked 31st in the league in kickoff returns last season averaging only 19.1-per return, which is the lowest in team history.
