Denver Broncos head coach John Fox said he is not in a rush to find a new defensive coordinator after Dennis Allen departed to become head coach of the Oakland Raiders. "I guess I'd like to have someone in place some time before next season, that's the deadline," Fox said, laughing. "More than likely, we'll feel good about it when we make a move. But we'll do what think would be the best fit and we'll keep trying to make the kind of progress we want on that side of the ball."

Fox did say backup QB Tim Tebow provided a second-half spark once QB Kyle Orton departed in Week 5. "We will evaluate it and make the best decision for the team," Fox said.

However, Fox admitted publicly that "deep down, I have an idea" who will be No. 1 when the season starts. Fox added he wants a quarterback who will thrive under pressure. "I prefer a gamer to a good practice player ... I want someone who will execute under pressure in a game," Fox said.

Denver Broncos head coach John Fox is confident that the team will be successful at some point during his stay with the team, according to The Associated Press. "My job is to win games. That, I will promise you will happen. I can't put a number on it this first season, but I will promise you we'll be in the championship at some level very soon," said Fox. The team plans to meet with Auburn DE Nick Fairley, Alabama DE Marcell Dareus and Texas A&M LB Von Miller this week.

Denver Broncos head coach John Fox said he believes a team needs more than one running back if they are going to be able to consistently run during the course of the season and the team will be in the process of finding more than just one guy at tailback. "In my opinion, you need more than one guy to actually make a full commitment to running the ball," Fox noted. "We had two first rounders when I was in Carolina. I don't think you have to have that. You have to have two good players. It's not so much where you start the race but where you finish. You just try to locate good guys - and they can be different because it's a little bit of a change of pace for the defense."
