The team waived WR Larry Beavers, RB DeCori Birmingham, DL Casper Brinkley, OL Patrick Brown, QB Hunter Cantwell, WR Jason Chery, S Paul Chara, DB D.J. Gil Brandt, of NFL.com, reports South Carolina LB Casper Brinkley worked out at his school's Pro Day March 26. Brinkley ran a 4.80 and 4.86 40-yard dash, had a 28 1/2-inch vertical jump, a nine-foot, four-inch broad jump, a 4.51-second short shuttle, a 7.68-second three-cone drill and completed 20 repetitions on the 225-pound bench press. Brinkley ran position drills but kept the rest of his numbers from the 2008 NFL Scouting Combine. He measured in at 6-foot-2 1/8 and 259 pounds.
