Len Pasquarelli, of ESPN.com, reports former NFL WR Jacquez Green has signed a contract with the Montreal Alouettes of the CFL. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Greern, who played with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1998-2001), Washington Redskins (2001) and Detroit Lions (2002), was not in the NFL in 2003.

After being convicted of stealing millions from his clients, Black has now filed grievances against eight current NFL players -- WR Jacquez Green (WAS), WR Reidel Anthony (WAS), WR Germane Crowell (DET), WR Troy Edwards (PIT), WR Karsten Bailey (GBP), RB Kevin Faulk (NEP), LB Al Wilson (DEN) and S Antuan Edwards (GBP) -- looking to recover unpaid commission fees on contracts he did for them. He's charging that he's owed a total of $220,000 in commissions.

As an update to previous reports, ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli reports the three-year, $4.3 million deal WR Jacquez Green received from the Washington Redskins is a bit deceiving. Green received a signing bonus of $225,000 and base salaries of $525,000 (2002) and $550,000 (2003). The third year, the base salary is $3 million. Green is able to become a free agent again next spring if he catches just 40 passes this season.

Green's representative said Wednesday that he is interested in joining Spurrier in Washington. According to sources, the team will not pursue free agent WR Az Hakim, because of his expected high price tag. The Redskins probably will address their need for WRs in the early rounds of April's NFL draft and with lower-priced free agents. According to the Washington Post, the Washington Redskins may have some interest in free agent to be WR Jacquez Green, of the Buccaneers. Green, an unrestricted free agent, played for Redskins head coach Steve Spurrier at Florida. St. Louis' WR Az-Zahir Hakim, also soon to be an unrestricted free agent, may also draw their interest. Spurrier said he may be interested in Green but added he feels the Redskins have some good young WRs, too.
