Len Pasquarelli, of ESPN.com, reports former NFL WR Jacquez Green has signed a contract with the Montreal Alouettes of the CFL. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Greern, who played with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1998-2001), Washington Redskins (2001) and Detroit Lions (2002), was not in the NFL in 2003.

Green received a signing bonus of $225,000 and base salaries of $525,000 (2002) and $550,000 (2003). The third year, the base salary is $3 million. Green is able to become a free agent again next spring if he catches just 40 passes this season.

Green's representative said Wednesday that he is interested in joining Spurrier in Washington.
