ESPN.com reports the Atlanta Braves optioned Ps Stephen Marek, James Parr, Todd Redmond and Luis Valdez to Triple-A Gwinnett Monday, March 16. P Francisley Bueno, P Mariano Gomez, C Phillip Britton and C Matt Kennelly were all reassigned to the minor leagues.

Mark Bowman, of MLB.com, reports the Atlanta Braves invited OF Jason Heyward, 1B Freddie Freeman, SP Tommy Hanson, OF Jordan Schafer, P Kris Medlen, C Matt Kennelly, C Jean Boscan, C Phillip Britton, C Alvin Colina (Reds), P Rafael Cruz, SP Emiliano Fruto (Diamondbacks), RP Francisley Bueno, P Mariano Gomez (Twins), P Juan Perez (Pirates), 2B Brooks Conrad (Athletics) and IF Brandon Hicks to Spring Training Thursday, Jan. 22.

The Associated Press' Charles Odum reports Atlanta Braves rookie P Francisley Bueno was suspended for three games Thursday, Aug. 14. According to Bob Watson, MLB's vice president for discipline, Bueno threw intentionally near Chicago Cubs OF Alfonso Soriano's head in the first game of a doubleheader Wednesday, Aug. 13. Bueno was tossed from that game. Bueno was optioned to Triple-A Richmond before word came down on his suspension and undisclosed fine.
