Carolina Panthers LS J.J. Jansen will make a base salary of $615,000 in 2012 under his new four-year deal. He is scheduled to make a base salary of $715,000 in 2013, $830,000 in 2014 and $845,000 in 2015. The deal includes a $500,000 signing bonus and the opportunity to earn $25,000 each offseason depending on how many offseason workouts he attends.

J.J. Pesavento, of Next Level Scouting, reports Notre Dame LS J.J. Jansen measured a height of 6-foot-3 and a weight of 254 pounds at his Pro Day. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.77 and 4.82 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.09 seconds. He measured a 32 1/2-inch vertical jump, a 9-foot-2 broad jump and completed 15 repetitions on the 225-pound bench press.
