Tennessee Titans QB Rusty Smith, OG, Jake Scott, LB Rennie Curran, P Brett Kern and TE Jared Cook arrived at the team's facilities Tuesday, April 26, but were not able to meet with coaches. "I was going to try to get a little bit of the offense, since we were allowed to show up," Smith said. "But the coaches were busy getting stuff ready for the draft so they were not even available to see anybody."

The Tennessee Titans and P Brett Kern agreed on a four-year, $5.2 million extension, reports Adam Caplan, of FOXSports.com. A source said that $2.1 million is guaranteed.

Tennessee Titans P Brett Kern (back, hamstring) said he met with a back specialist and found that a bulging disc was hitting in his hamstring, reports Jim Wyatt, of The Tennessean. Kern said he was feeling better after receiving a cortisone shot.

Updating a previous item, Jim Wyatt, of The Tennessean, reports Tennessee Titans P Brett Kern has the inside track to be the team's punter next season now that P Craig Hentrich has retired. Hentrich said part of the reason he felt comfortable retiring was because of Kern. Hentrich said, "The only way I would come back if I felt the punting job was not in good hands, and I feel Brett is going to be the punter here for a long time. He has done a great job and is a great kid. I feel good about leaving and wish him all the best.
