Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Raheem Morris said Tuesday, Sept. 27, that FS Larry Asante and SS Corey Lynch are expected to battle for a starting job, replacing FS Cody Grimm (knee). "We'll let those two guys, Larry and Corey, battle this week to see who will play and who will get the most amount of time," Morris said.

Roy Cummings, of The Tampa Tribune, reports Tampa Bay Buccaneers S Will Allen (thumb) underwent surgery on his right thumb Tuesday, Nov. 10. Allen is out indefinitely and could be out for the rest of the season. The Buccaneers could go with S Corey Lynch as their third safety, or they may look to sign a safety to their roster.
