Mark Ludwiczak, of Buffalobills.com, reports Buffalo Bills QB Shane Matthews almost retired after the 2004 season before he decided to return to the Bills. When it came to making his decision it was not that difficult. "Well, one reason [I came back] is I really like this organization. I like the coaching staff. And it's probably one of the most talented teams I've ever been on," Matthews said during the Bills' final week of Organized Team Activities. "I think we have a chance to definitely get in the playoffs and make some noise. I don't know if this is going to be my last year or not, but I really feel like this team has a chance." At this point in his career, he's content with his role as a backup with the Bills and his opportunity to mentor young, starting QB J.P. Losman. Matthews also knows he could still help the Bills if he gets called into game action.
