Impending free-agent OL Doug Legursky (Steelers) might be brought back by the Pittsburgh Steelers, as he was valuable the past two seasons with C Maurkice Pouncey dealing with injuries the past two seasons. Legursky can also play guard.

Gilbert visited with a specialist Monday, Oct. 15, and was told he doesn't need surgery. He's listed as week-to-week. RB Rashard Mendenhall (Achilles'), RB Isaac Redman (ankle) and C Maurkice Pouncey (knee) are questionable, but head coach Mike Tomlin is "optimistic" that they will play. OT Mike X. Adams will replace Gilbert, and OG Doug Legursky would replace Pouncey if he's unable to suit up.
