The team also re-signed DE Logan Harrell to their practice squad and released OG Charlie Bryant in a corresponding move.

He is hopeful of contributing at some point this season. "I'm shooting to get back this year," Dombrowski said Friday, Sept. 14. He developed a cyst in his foot which has kept him away from the team since late in organized team activities (OTAs).

San Diego Chargers head coach Norv Turner indicated Tuesday, Dec. 6, that OT Jared Gaither is likely to draw a second straight start in Week 14 in place of the injured OT Brandyn Dombrowski (ankle). "I think it will be, you know how far back Brandyn is," Turner said. "Sometimes these ankle things, you're able to go out and run on a Tuesday and you feel better and they say, 'Hey, he'll be able to practice on Thursday.' But you're not 100 percent, and I like the way Gaither played and I think, Brandyn would have to be 100 percent before we consider (him)."

Dombrowski ran a 5.30 40-yard dash, a 3.08 20-yard dash, a 1.84- 10-yard dash, had a 25-inch vertical jump, an eight-foot, three-inch broad jump, a 7.75-second three-cone drill and completed 30 repetitions on the 225-pound bench press. He measured in at 6-foot-5 and 323 pounds.
