Thu, 14 Feb 2013 12:15:55 -0800 Oakland Raiders offensive coordinator Greg Olson indicated he is intrigued by FB Marcel Reece and believes he can be a third down back that can also operate in a single-back formation. Olson thinks Reece can be utilized for favorable matchups.
Thu, 14 Feb 2013 04:25:45 -0800 Oakland Raiders offensive coordinator Greg Olson said he plans to run an attacking offense with a heavy emphasis on playaction, designed to get RB Darren McFadden back on track. Olson also wants to feature FB Marcel Reece.
Sun, 20 Jan 2013 19:51:18 -0800 Oakland Raiders FB Marcel Reece has been named to his first Pro Bowl, replacing Baltimore Ravens FB Vonta Leach.
Mon, 24 Dec 2012 08:34:19 -0800 Oakland Raiders C Stefen Wisniewski, OT Jared Veldheer, OG Tony Bergstrom, RB Marcel Reece, WR Rod Streater, WR Juron Criner, DT Lamarr Houston, SS Tyvon Branch, FS Michael Huff and LB Miles Burris are considered the only players to have secured roster spots for 2013.
Wed, 05 Dec 2012 13:04:13 -0800 Oakland Raiders FB Marcel Reece (hamstring, quadriceps) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Dec. 5, and is listed as probable for Week 14.
Wed, 05 Dec 2012 10:22:03 -0800 The Oakland Raiders will likely attack the Denver Broncos out of plenty of two-back and two-tight end looks in their Week 14 game, especially with RB Darren McFadden (ankle) expected to play. It is a strength of the Raiders' offense and it has also been a tough thing for the Broncos to scheme against defensively. Raiders running backs receive plenty of work in the passing game with 33 percent of QB Carson Palmer's completions this season having gone to them, led by FB Marcel Reece's 46 catches. Combined, Oakland tight ends and running backs have 179 receptions this season, or 58.5 percent of Palmer's completions.
Tue, 04 Dec 2012 14:28:29 -0800 Oakland Raiders T Khalif Barnes (triceps), DE Jack Crawford (toe), WR Juron Criner (shoulder), DB Matt Giordano (concussion), RB Taiwan Jones (ankle), SS Michael Mitchell (concussion), TE Brandon Myers (shoulder) and FB Marcel Reece (knee, quadriceps) all were limited in practice Thursday, Dec. 4.
Sun, 02 Dec 2012 20:54:50 -0800 Oakland Raiders FB Marcel Reece got the start in Week 13 against the Cleveland Browns, but he managed just 36 yards on seven carries while hauling down five balls for 20 receiving yards. RB Jeremy Stewart actually led the team with 46 rushing yards on nine totes, and he added a two-yard reception. Fantasy Tip: The fantasy appeal of Reece, and Stewart, is expected to end in Week 14, as head coach Dennis Allen said he expects RB Darren McFadden (ankle) to return for the game Thursday, Dec. 6. Hang onto Reece just in case McFadden has a setback.
Fri, 30 Nov 2012 18:58:50 -0800 Oakland Raiders RB Taiwan Jones (ankle) was listed as a limited participant in practice Friday, Nov. 30, while FB Marcel Reece (hamstring, quadriceps) went through a full practice session. Each back is listed as probable for the Week 13 game against the Cleveland Browns. Fantasy Tip: Both players, especially Reece, will take a big hit in fantasy appeal if Darren McFadden (ankle) is able to play. McFadden is listed as questionable, or officially has a 50-50 chance of suiting up. Mike Goodson (ankle) is also on the road to recovery, further decreasing the values of Jones and Reece.
Thu, 29 Nov 2012 17:09:39 -0800 Oakland Raiders FB Marcel Reece (hamstring, quadriceps) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 29.
