The Chicago White Sox assigned Ps Anthony Carter, Simon Castro, Deunte Heath, Pedro Hernandez, Charlie Leesman, Jhan Marinez, Donnie Veal, Nestor Molina and Jose Quintana, INFs Osvaldo Martinez and Tyler Kuhn, C Michael Blanke and OFs Jared Mitchell and Trayce Thompson to minor league camp Monday, March 19.

The Chicago White Sox have agreed to terms with Ps Dylan Axelrod, Anthony Carter, Simon Castro, Deunte Heath, Pedro Hernandez, Philip Humber, Gregory Infante, Nathan Jones, Charlie Leesman, Jhan Marinez, Nestor Molina, Jose Quintana, Addison Reed, Chris Sale, Hector Santiago, Zach Stewart and Donnie Veal, C Tyler Flowers, INFs Gordon Beckham, Eduardo Escobar, Brent Lillibridge, Osvaldo Martinez and Brent Morel and OF Alejandro De Aza on one-year deals.

Pittsburgh Pirates minor league RP Donnie Veal (arm), currently pitching for Triple-A Indianapolis, was placed on the minor league disabled list because of arm fatigue.

The Pittsburgh Pirates promoted RP Donnie Veal (elbow) to Triple-A Indianapolis. He continues to make progress in his recovery from Tommy John surgery. General manager Neal Huntington said a determination has not been made on whether Veal's long-term role is as a starter or reliever.

The Pittsburgh Pirates have reassigned C Tony Sanchez, C Eric Fryer, P Cesar Valdez and SP Donnie Veal to the minor league camp, according to MLB.com's Jenifer Langosch. The four were expected to begin the season in the minor leagues.

The Pittsburgh Pirates are hopeful SP Donnie Veal (elbow) will be ready to return some time in May or June, reports Jenifer Langosch, of MLB.com. "The rehab is going great," general manager Neal Huntington said Monday, Feb. 14. "He feels great. The throwing program has gone very well for him."
