Updating a previous report, the Carolina Panthers agreed to terms with free-agent SS Michael Mitchell (Raiders) on a one-year deal. Financial terms of the deal were undisclosed. Mitchell is expected to compete with FS D.J. Campbell and SS Haruki Nakamura for a starting spot at strong safety.
