The Detroit Lions placed WRs Titus Young (knee) and Ryan Broyles (knee) on the Injured Reserve Tuesday, Dec. 4. The team sent Young home twice in the past three weeks due to behavior issues. The Minnesota Vikings are unlikely to bring back SS Tyrell Johnson, SS Jarrad Page, CB Benny Sapp or SS Andrew Sendejo in 2012. Page is expected to become a free agent in March, and he is not likely to re-sign. Sapp doesn't fit in with the youth movement in Minnesota, and he is unsigned heading into 2012. The Vikings are expected to cut bait with Johnson. Sendejo is signed through 2012, but he is probably not in the team's future plans.

Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier said Friday, Oct. 14, that there are no plans to alter the role of SS Tyrell Johnson. Johnson was arrested Sept. 20, had a collision with CB Cedric Griffin in Week 4 after taking a bad angle which led to a big play, and he blew a coverage which nearly led to a score in Week 5. "You do have to weight the risk/reward," Frazier said. "You hope you get to the point where you're thinking 'more reward, more reward' as opposed to risk."
