Eagles | Two conditioning coaches fired

Bob Brookover, of the Philadelphia Inquirer, reports Philadelphia Eagles conditioning coaches Mike Wolf and Jay Merlino have been fired. No replacements were immediately hired for those jobs. Assistant Barry Rubin is the only member of the strength and conditioning staff to be retained. A team source said the Eagles felt they needed a fresh approach in the strength and conditioning department.

The Philadelphia Eagles named Jay Merlino the team's assistant strength and conditioning coach Wednesday, Feb. 13. Merlino has served as an Eagles strength and conditioning assistant since 2005.
