The Denver Broncos announced general manager Ted Sundquist is no longer with the team, effective immediately. Head coach Mike Shanahan said, "I am grateful to Ted for all his hard work and efforts on behalf of the Broncos for the past 16 years. Now is the time for our organization to move forward and look at new directions. We are prepared to do so, starting with our ongoing draft planning, and along with continuing preparations for our mini camps and training camp." Director of player personnel Jim Goodman and assistant general manager Jeff Goodman will each have more prominent roles in football operations. Chief operating officer of the Broncos, Joe Ellis, will assist on operational and administrative issues related to football.

The Denver Broncos named Jeff Goodman assistant general manager Friday, Feb. 8. Goodman will assist general manager Ted Sundquist in all duties associated with the position. Goodman is entering his third season with the Broncos, having spent the previous two as the team's college scout. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
