The Denver Broncos announced the March 2 trade with the Miami Dolphins has been declared null and void as per the conditions of the trade agreement. The Broncos sent a sixth-round draft pick to the Dolphins in exchange for DT Dan Wilkinson, but he failed to report to the team by the designated date. The Dolphins will retain the rights to Wilkinson, and the Broncos will retain the rights to their sixth-round selection in the 2007 NFL Draft.

Updating an ongoing story, Jeff Legwold, of the Rocky Mountain News, reports Denver Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan does not believe DL Dan Wilkinson will report by the Friday, March 30, deadline. If Wilkinson does not report to the team by Friday, the team will likely abort their trade with the Miami Dolphins in which they acquired Wilkinson.

Jeff Legwold, of the Rocky Mountain News, reports Miami Dolphins general manager Randy Mueller believes DT Dan Wilkinson is not any closer to reporting to the Denver Broncos. Mueller added he believes the Broncos are still hopeful Wilkinson will report for his physical. Wilkinson has until March 30 to report for a team physical.
