SceneDaily.com reports Michael Waltrip Racing officials announced Wednesday, July 9, that the team hired Peter Sospenzo to be the crew chief for driver Michael McDowell and the No. 00 car. Sospenzo will replace crew chief Bill Pappas, who will become the team's head of engineering.
